View of Xibaipo Village in N China's Hebei

Aerial photo taken on June 20, 2019 shows a view of lotus pond at Nanwendu Village of Pingshan County, north China's Hebei Province. Xibaipo gains its fame as a village where the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) stayed in the final days leading up to its victory. "New China set off from here" is a famous comment on Xibaipo and is widely quoted as the best synopsis of Xibaipo's historic contribution. Nowadays, Xibaipo has become a national-level historical preservation site as well as an educational base for patriotism, attracting crowds of CPC members and general public to come to review the roots of revolutionary spirits.
