View of Xibaipo Village in N China's Hebei

Aerial photo taken on June 20, 2019 shows the site of the Second Plenary Session of the 7th Communist Party of China Central Committee at Xibaipo Village in Pingshan County, north China's Hebei Province. Xibaipo gains its fame as a village where the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) stayed in the final days leading up to its victory. "New China set off from here" is a famous comment on Xibaipo and is widely quoted as the best synopsis of Xibaipo's historic contribution. Nowadays, Xibaipo has become a national-level historical preservation site as well as an educational base for patriotism, attracting crowds of CPC members and general public to come to review the roots of revolutionary spirits.
